Eat of the things which Allah (God) hath provided for you, Halal (lawful) and good; but fear Allah (God), in whom ye believe.     Al-Maida 88 - The Quran

Tayyab Halal Corporation certifies that all poultry and/or red meats which carry our label and/or certificates have been blessed by a Muslim Blesser stating Tasmiyya and Takbir according to Islamic Rites and Law subscribed by the Holy Quran.

During processing the animals are slaughtered according to Islam by means of a sharp knife/blade: cutting through the skin, trachea, esophagus and major blood arteries to result in thorough bleeding of the carcass in preparation for dressing and evisceration. Our poultry/meats are never mixed with other species or other types of meat. All animals were examined before slaughter and immediately thereafter by a USDA inspector and were found free of diseases and are suitable for Muslim consumption.

THC adheres to all Islamic guidelines and Muslim traditions. All meat products are sold with strict adherence to the Texas Halal Statute (September 2003), which protects consumers from intentional mislabeling or false advertising of products.

The THC label and plant declaration assures you that on the DAY OF HALAL SLAUGHTER:

  1. Livestock is slaughtered/overseen by a Muslim Blesser who works directly with THC.

  2. The Blesser is recognized and respected by the Islamic community.

  3. The Blesser recites "Bismillah Allah-u-Akbar".

  4. The plant starts with only those animals, which will be Halal blessed.

  5. The Blesser places a Halal label/tag on all Halal primal cut(s) and carcasses.

  6. Halal carcasses are segregated.

  7. The Blesser reviews the work of all plant employees.

  8. The processed meat is then packed to insure integrity and authenticity of the Halal meat.

  9. THC superiors inspect each plant a minimum of twice a year.

  10. The blessers inspect the plants each time they use the plant, at least twice per week.

In order to maintain the highest level of review THC works directly with local Imams and Muslim community leaders. Tayyab Halal Corporation has a special Fatwa from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Egypt written specifically for our slaughter processes and procedures and certifying that the process we use does, in fact, meet all standards according to Islamic Law.

Our processing/slaughter procedurer, which follow the practice of Sunah teaching, were reviewed with scholars at the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the worlds oldest Islamic university and research center. This highest authority on Islamic practices issued a FATWA in regards to our processing and slaughter of chicken. Please feel free to request a copy of this fatwa.
